Faison Home Grand Reopening Is This Saturday in La Grange

The Faison Preservation Society is delighted to announce that the Faison House will reopen on Saturdays beginning Saturday, June 5, 2021 from noon to 4 p.m.

“We’ve been busy during the COVID shutdown,” President Arnold Romberg said. Our talented team has developed a self-guided audio-visual tour. By interacting with one of three touch-screen kiosks located throughout the house, you can learn about the house construction as well as the lives of its residents.

Marie Watts, author and Faison historian, wrote the scripts and produced the videos. Greg Walker provided the technological wizardry. Special thanks go out to Verlia Mosley and members of the Fayette County Community Theater who provided voice-overs for the vignettes.

The N. W. Faison House at 822 South Jefferson, La Grange, is on the National Register of Historic Places at the state level or recognition for its social history. For more information visit www.faisonhouse.org.
