Fairgrounds Vandalized

A minor is facing charges after hundreds of dollars in vandalism was done at The Fayette County Fairgrounds Saturday Nov. 6.

According to La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath, the youth was in attendance at an event at the Fair Pavilion that day when they left the event and did damage to several buildings and facilities on the grounds.

The locks on numerous storage and bathroom doors were broken.

In the men’s bathrooms nearest to the German Czech Mart, sinks were ripped from the wall and mirrors were shattered.

The damage was discovered by fair officials the next day.
