Election Aftermath: Who Did Well Where

The Fayette County Elections Office published a precinct-by-precinct report of last week’s primary elections. The report provides details about how different parts of the County voted in the County Judge race.

Dan Mueller’s strongest base of support came in his home territory in the Schulenburg area. He gathered more than 50 percent of the vote in the voting precincts of Schulenburg (54.96 percent), Holman (51.99 percent) and Ammannsville (51.78 percent). Mueller’s weakest support was in Flatonia (27.18 percent) and Cistern (27.19 percent)

Mueller collected more votes than his opponents in six of the 12 election precincts: La Grange-North, Warda, Plum, Ammannsville Holman and Schulenburg. Craig Moreau carried four of the precincts: La Grange-East, La Grange-West, Fayetteville and Round Top, Moreau was unable, however, to gather half or more of the votes in any of the precincts he carried.

Lori Berger was unable to gain much support outside of her home territory in the Flatonia area. She collected the most votes in Flatonia (43.66 percent) and Cistern (35.53). But she finished last in all but one of the other precincts. Berger’s support in Flatonia and Cistern gave her enough votes to finish third overall.

William Bernsen failed to win a single precinct, but he came in ahead of Berger in nine of the 12 precincts. His strongest support was in Warda (21.36 percent) and Plum (20.25 percent).

His weakest support was in Round Top (6.24 percent) and Fayetteville (9.32 percent).
