Ledbetter to Hold Senior Bingo Sunday, Aug. 9

Bingo for seniors (age 60 and older plus guests) will be on Sunday, Aug. 9 from 2-4 p.m. at the Ledbetter Community Center. Doors open at 1:15 p.m. and games are played from 2-4 p.m.

A card is $5 and covers all games with prizes awarded for each game. Snacks and drinks are available for a donation.

This is a non-profit community event for entertainment. Money collected is used for purchase of prizes and other expenses.

Senior Citizens 

Great Texas Duck Race - $5 per duck. Every duck helps provide two meals for a senior and you could win up to a $1,000 Visa Gift Card. A virtual fundraiser benefitting on Meals on Wheels. School Kits 

Lutheran World Relief school kits are being collected by the Women of the ELCA of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.

Items for a kit include: four 70-count spiral notebooks; a blunt pair of scissors; a 30-centimeter ruler which includes 12-inches; a pencil sharpener; five unsharpened #2 pencils; five ballpoint pens; a two and one-half-inch eraser; and a box of 16-24 crayons.

MLLC News 

Senior Citizens meet on Wednesday from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in the Mission & Ministry Building.

AA group meets Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Sunday School begins Sunday at 9 a.m.

Worship with Holy Communion, observing the Eleventh Sunday after Pentecost, is Sunday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Bonnie Parker will serve as the guest pastor.

Carmine Visitor’s Center
