Accidents, Theft Reports Among LG Police Calls
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 19-25.
Accident
On July 19, Officer Adrian Ortiz was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass for an accident.
On July 21, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for an accident in the HEB parking lot.
On July 21, Archerd was dispatched to the 900 block of N. Monroe regarding a single vehicle accident.
On July 21, Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 1400 block of N. Jefferson for an accident.
On July 23, Sgt. Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in reference to a two-vehicle accident.
On July 25, Office Jose Garza responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for an accident.
On July 25, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 1900 block of Hwy. 159 where driver pulled off with gas hose and broke it then returned hose.
Animal Complaint
On July 21, Animal Control Officer Leslie Yezakl was dispatched to the 600 block of S. Meyer for a dog bite follow up.
On July 24, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Jackson regarding an animal complaint.
On July 25, Garza responded to the 1700 block of E. State Highway 71 Bypass in reference to a loose calf.
Agency Assist
On July 26, Garza responded to the 200 block of Lee Street to assist the fire department. Criminal Mischief
On July 24, Garza responded to the 800 block of S. Mode in reference to criminal mischief.
Disturbance
On July 19, Ortiz was dispatched to the 100 block of Meadow for a disturbance.
On July 19, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Main for a disturbance.
On July 25, Garza responded to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for a disturbance.
Gas Leak
On July 25, Garza while patrolling in the 800 block of S. Vail heard a loud hissing and found contractors had hit a gas line.
Harassment
On July 26, Meinardus took a report from individual that wished to report issues he was having with a subject. Caller was advised to block them and no longer have contact with the subject.
Public Intoxication
On July 26, Garza responded to the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in reference to public intoxication. Terroristic Threat
On July 22, Ortiz was dispatched to the 1500 block of Hwy. 159 for a terroristic threat.
Theft
On July 19, Officer Steven Haynie met with a subject in the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business regarding a theft.
On July 23, Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis regarding a theft.
