Democrats gathered to hear governor hopeful Bobby Cole Thursday, Oct. 16, at Majek’s Winery outside Schulenburg. A professed no nonsense candidate “from the outside,” Cole, an East Texas cattleman, believes in people. In his talk to the locals he championed the future with investment in students and teachers, farms and farmers, paths to legal citizenship, affordable healthcare, a living minimum wage for people who build and fuel the economy, and for citizens to keep their earned pay.
