Deadlines Near for 2022 Major Show Tags

Major Show Heifer Tags

Any 4-H or FFA member in Fayette County who plan on showing heifers at the 2022 spring major shows and have not validated them, change of ownership or change of breed, must place an order for the number of heifers they wish to validate.

The costs of the validation materials is $17 and must be ordered through the Fayette County Extension office no later than Sept. 10 by 5 p.m. Please call the Fayette County Extension office at (979) 968-5831 or email kmkaspar@ag.tamu.edu to place your tag order. An official validation and tagging will occur on Oct. 25.

Major Show Lamb and Goat Tag Order Deadline

Any 4-H or FFA member in Fayette County who plan on showing lambs and/or goats at the 2022 major shows must place an order for the number of tags they wish to purchase.

The costs of these tags are $17 each and must be ordered through the Fayette County Extension office no later than Aug. 17 by 5 p.m. This includes market lambs and goats and breeding or commercial lambs and goats. Please call the Fayette County Extension office at (979) 968-5831 or email kmkaspar@ag.tamu.edu to place your tag order. An official validation and tagging will take place on Oct. 19.

Major Show Broilers / Turkeys

Any 4-H or FFA member in Fayette County who plan on showing in the market broiler or turkey division at the 2022 Houston Livestock Show, San Antonio Stock Show, Star of Texas and/or Fayette County Jr. Livestock Show (broilers only) need to place their order by Aug. 23 by 5 p.m. through the Fayette County Extension office.
