DAR Chapter Holds Christmas Luncheon

The annual Christmas luncheon of the Smith-McMillan Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution was held at the Fritsch Auf! Valley Country Club at 11 a.m.

After a social time and our annual raffle fundraiser for our Chapter Scholarships, for area high school seniors that netted $760.

Regent Sue Lane McCulley and Chaplain Kim Joost led the DAR Ritual. Member, Lois Wink presented chapter members’ book donations to Gina Gralinski, Director of the Fayette County Women’s Shelter. Member Sally Reynolds introduced our guest speaker, local author Elaine Thomas.

Following her program, she had book sales and signings of both of her books, Veterans’ Voices and Home Front Memories.
