CVC Celebrates Successful Inaugural “Light Up Fayette County” Holiday Decorating Contest

Colorado Valley Communications (CVCTX) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of the first-ever Light Up Fayette County holiday decorating contest, a community- wide celebration that brought homes and businesses together to spread holiday cheer throughout the county.

The inaugural contest invited residents and local businesses across Fayette County to showcase their creativity and festive spirit. From classic Christmas charm to bold, eyecatching displays, the entries transformed neighborhoods and business districts into glowing holiday destinations, creating memorable experiences for families, friends, and visitors alike.

After weeks of participation and community engagement, Colorado Valley Communications is excited to recognize the official winners of the 2025 Light Up Fayette County contest:

• Best Overall Display: Laddie Hrachovy, Schulenburg

• Most Festive Business: Spill the T, La Grange

• People’s Choice Award: Justin Malota, Fayetteville Each winning display stood out for its creativity, holiday spirit, and ability to bring joy to the community.

More than just a decorating contest, Light Up Fayette County became a reminder of what makes the area so special— strong community pride, friendly competition, and neighbors coming together to celebrate the season. Families toured displays together, residents supported one another through voting and sharing photos, and local businesses enthusiastically joined in the fun.

“We are incredibly thankful for the response to our first year of Light Up Fayette County,” said Colorado Valley Communications. “What started as a new idea quickly became a meaningful community tradition, and that’s because of the enthusiasm and creativity of the people who live and work here.”

Colorado Valley Communications extends its sincere thanks to everyone who participated, voted, shared photos, and helped spread the word. The overwhelming support turned this inaugural event into a shining success and laid the foundation for future holiday traditions.

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for helping us light up Fayette County and make this holiday season one to remember.
