COVID Numbers Jump Sharply

Following the release of back-logged state data Monday, the number of active cases being reported by Fayette County officials has sky-rocketed up from less than 30 a week ago, to 45 confirmed and an additional 42 probable cases.

Some 1,901 people have recovered from COVID in Fayette County and an additional 1,183 people here have received at least one dose of the vaccine. County officials say 18 people here have died of coronavirus since the state of the pandemic.
