The Compound Announces Concert Series

The Compound, Round Top’s major, multi-event facility, will host a summer music series.

Owner/developer Mark Massey and wife Kasey have inaugurated “Round Top Rhapsody - A Summer Concert Series” beginning Saturday June 26 featuring the smoky vocals of country’s up and comer Kylie Frey as the headliner and local La Grange country and western talent, Josh Tiemann, always a crowd favorite, as the starting act.

Saturday, July 31 will bring the ever so talented, Nashville connected Jack Ingram and his amazing voice to the stage with singer/songwriter David Lewis starting.

Aug. 28 features Bob Schneider, a prolific singer songwriter with an eclectic bent that spans folk, country, rock, blues and pop. He takes the stage after Trey Yenger starts off.

“Since our outdoor wedding at The Compound in April, Mark and I have talked about having music events at The Compound,” says Kasey “I recently made a few connections in the music world to make that happen. The intent is to feature one concert in June, July and August of this year; and grow this series in years to come,” she said. The Masseys have organized the event with the assistance of veteran Austin City Limits show producer/promoter Ed Bailey and Texas dance hall maven, Abbey Road, who booked the talent and arranged the professional sound and production crew.

The doors, full bar, and an array of food trucks open at 6 p.m. Retail therapy will be right on tap with the beer, cocktails, and dance music. An array of vendors will be there to round out the event. Live music starts at 6:30 with the headliner scheduled at 8:30. Advance $40 tickets can be purchased at www.roundtopcompound.com.
