Community Journalism Workshop – Limited Seats Still Available

The League of Women Voters of South Central Texas announces that registration for its “Community News Writing: A Community Journalism Workshop” is nearing capacity. Interested residents are encouraged to register now to secure their spot in this free, four-week program. The workshop begins Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, and will continue on Nov. 10, Nov. 24, and Dec. 8, meeting from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Schulenburg Public Library, 310 Simpson Street in Schulenburg. League member Elota Patton will serve as Lead Instructor, with Richardson facilitating. The course will feature special guest journalists and educators from South Central Texas who will provide expert guidance and feedback on participants’ work.
