Columbus Police Looking For Shooting Suspect

Columbus Police Department seeks the public’s help to identify the suspect or suspects responsible for a homicide on Aug. 1.

According to a report from Columbus Police, officers responded around 12:04 a.m. on Sunday to the 1100 block of Robson Street in reference to an unresponsive male. Police determined that unknown suspect(s) fired multiple shots at a male victim. Colorado County EMS and Columbus Emergency Room staff attempted to save the victim, but he later succumbed to his wounds.

The victim was identified as David Anthony Rios, 38 of Columbus. Columbus Police Department has notified Rios’ family of the death.
