Christmas Activities in Round Top
The opening of the Christkindlmarket at The Compound will be on Friday, Dec. 5. Shop the European-inspired Christmas market with twinkling lights, artisan vendors, food, music, and plenty of Christmas cheer. This event runs 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Friday- Sunday.
The Zapp Hall Christmas Show will be Dec. 5-7. Browse a selection of dealers, enjoy tasty food, and listen to great music. Saturday, Dec. 6, enjoy a ticketed show in the beer garden featuring Glen Templeton and Matt Caldwell. More information can be found at roundtop.com.
The Library is once again hosting their Christmas celebration Saturday, Dec. 6. Beginning at 10 a.m., guests can enjoy Christmas treats, arts and crafts, and pictures with Santa Claus. Visit ilovetoread. org for details.
Historical Homes Tour
The 28th annual Round Top Area Historical Homes Tour is Saturday from 11 a.m.5 p.m. Tour six beautiful properties all decked out for the holidays. Tickets are $25 and may be purchased online at RTAHS.com.
Old Time Christmas
Beginning at 3 p.m. enjoy an “Old Time Christmas on The Square.” The DYD Club will have cookies, ornaments, and Santa, and the Round Top Family Library will have stew and a book walk. Then, grab the perfect spot for the Lighted Christmas Parade, beginning at 6:15 p.m.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Enjoy donuts and coffee from 8:30-9 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7 in the Educational Building. Bring a friend to enjoy the fellowship and to attend the service. The Sewing Circle will meet Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 9:30 a.m. This year’s Christmas program is Sunday, Dec. 14. St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. Enjoy an evening of old-time Christmas caroling Sunday, Dec. 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the old church building on Skull Creek Road in Shelby. St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church Saint Cecilia’s meets Sundays at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. at the Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.
Saint Cecilia’s Round Top, a creative spiritual community, invites all to Christmas Eve services on Dec. 24, 2:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. at The Compound in Round Top (2550 SH- 237.) The services feature world-class musicians presenting Christmas favorites: Joey McGee, guitar and vocals, Stephen Mansolo, keyboard and vocals, April Hubert, one of Texas’ top gospel singers, Anna de Mare, emerging singer/songwriter, Frank Hillbolt, bass, and Vlad Morakovsky, cello. The services also include a special Christmas message from priest and author William “Father Bill” Miller. All are welcomed.
