Chad Tiemann Running for Pct. 2 Commissioner
I’m Chad Tiemann, and today, with the overwhelming support of my family and community, I am proud to announce my candidacy for Fayette County Commissioner, Precinct 2, on the March 2026 Republican Primary ballot.
I am a fifth generation Fayette County resident. My wife, Christy, and I live in Oldenburg, where we proudly raised our daughter, Cassidy, on my grandparents’ homeplace.
I began my career with the Precinct 2 Road and Bridge Department in January 2019. Before joining the county, I worked in the private sector performing property management and with Texas Star Transport. I gained valuable experience managing people, keeping projects on budget and on schedule, working knowledge of road and base materials, and building relationships with local vendors and suppliers. These attributes continue to serve me as I work for our local government.
When the former Commissioner of Precinct 2 announced his early retirement in 2025, I made the decision to run for said office to provide the residents of Fayette County with practical, involved leadership. In July 2025, in good faith and to avoid any conflict of interest, I transferred to Fayette County Precinct 1, per the county’s policy regarding running against the incumbent Commissioner who was appointed.
The core responsibility of the county commissioner is managing road and bridge maintenance. I have worked in all aspects of the day-today operations of our precinct. I have road and bridge experience and am ready to work on day one. I will be on the roads, in the shop, and working alongside our dedicated employees. We need proactive rather than reactive maintenance on our roads and equipment, and I have concise plans for improvement.
The commissioners court must be responsible stewards of your tax dollars. I believe in a balanced budget, a low tax base, and transparent, cooperative governance focused on the betterment of Fayette County.
For more detailed information on my qualifications, future goals, and community involvement, please visit my Facebook page or contact me at (979) 966-2271 and electchad@cvctx.com. I look forward to speaking with Precinct 2 residents about your concerns. Your vote and support are greatly appreciated.
