Caroline Cherry, auditioned for the TASSB Middle School All Regional band in early December. She was one of sixtysix trumpets to audition and placed eighth, earning her a seat in the Top Honor Band.

The Audition is a blind audition consisting of scales and prepared etudes that are preformed for the judges. Caroline has been preparing for a long time and her efforts have really paid off. Caroline attends La Grange Middle School and is the daughter of Lora and Martin Cherry, Jr. Her grandparents, Martin and Nancy Cherry are very proud of Caroline’s achievements.

Christmas Eve Service

The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church will be hosting a special Christmas Eve service beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24 for the entire community to join in. If you are looking for somewhere to attend church on Christmas Eve everyone is invited to come to the little church located by the park and enjoy the real reason for the season. Come out and enjoy the story of the birth of Jesus and some wonderful Christmas music to really celebrate the season.

Illness in Area

There are many in the community that are down and out with the flu, stomach bugs, allergies and other assorted illnesses. Be sure to check on your neighbors during this busy time of year and see if they need a little help or maybe just a visit from a friendly voice or face to let them know they are cared for.

Good Neighbors

With the Christmas season also comes an increase in traffic. Slow down when traveling through the area. The kids will be out and enjoying their Christmas holiday and their Christmas gifts. Be aware of the chance the kids might be playing in the roads. Also keep vigilant on noticing if something seems out of place. We all have to be good neighbors and let our neighbors know if you see something odd at their place. It might be visitors, but then again it might not. Just give them a call and let them know.

Weather

Muldoon saw a cold front come through the week before Christmas with temperatures dropping into the twenties with strong winds. Then we got a little bit of rain as temperatures warmed back up. Some in the area got more than others, but all moisture is welcomed. The Christmas forecast is saying it will be a warm one this year, but Muldoon cooled off prior to the warm up.

Merry Christmas

I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and safe holiday season.
