Carmine VFD Hosting Burger Fundraiser
Carmine Volunteer Fire Department regular meeting night is April 22.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 16 when the department will sponsor a hamburger drive-thru at their Fire Station. Pick up is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Advance only tickets are $10 and available from any firefighter and also at Carmine Feed & Fertilizer, Carmine State Bank, City Garage, and Creative Paws. Deadline to purchase tickets is Sunday, May 9.
For the annual Feast and Fundraiser on July 18, they will have a drive-thru fried chicken meal and also a drawing. Watch for more details.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine High School baseball team hosts Burton April 23 at 4:30 p.m. They host Snook April 27 also at 4:30 p.m.
There will be a modified Kindergarten Roundup on April 21 at the elementary school from 5-6 p.m. For more information go to rtcisd.net under the Parent/ Student Resources tab. There is also a check off list for the documents needed for enrollment.
Pre-Kindergarten registration is currently underway. These students must be 4 years of age by September 1, 2021 and meet certain criteria. Check the website listed above for more details.
Carmine 42 Club
The Carmine 42 Club met April 7 to play eight exciting games of 42 after eating a wonderful lunch of burgers from the Village Market.
The high scoring partners were Jeanette Schoenst and LaVerne Albers with a score of 1966 and playing three hands of 84. The second-place partners were Donna Mueller and Jerry Guelker with a score of 1735, playing two games of 84. Other partners were Edith Flinn and Linda Mattocks who played two hands of 84. Partners Carol Naegeli and Marlene Waak played two hands of 84 and one hand of 126.
Everyone enjoyed the friendly competition and look forward to the next game day.
Probst Casino Night
Carmine Chamber of Commerce will sponsor their Probst Casino Night with a German theme on Saturday, Aug. 14 at the Carmine Hall. They will be selling tables and individual tickets. Watch for more information.
Decoration Service
The Waldeck Cemetery Decoration service is Sunday, April 25 at 2 p.m.
MLLC News
Confirmation class meets Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School meets Sunday at 9 a.m. Sunday worship with Holy Communion at 10 a.m.
The service will also be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Men in Mission meet Mondays at 7 p.m.
Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
They kindly ask that you please wait to drop off items when they are open. It is very helpful to have the recycled items separated.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
