Carmine Night Out To Return in October

Mark your calendars for Oct. 7 when Carmine Night Out will be held. This is the first Thursday in October due to the permanent change of dates for the fall antiques fair.

Round Top-Carmine ISD offices will be closed July 5-9.

Registration for the 2021-22 school year is open on Parent Portal. This year, online registration will be required as no paper packets will be available. Registration documents need to be completed before the start of school on Aug. 23 for all returning and students new to the district. This is a separate process from new student enrollment (a one-time requirement.) Go to the Round Top Carmine ISD website for details. If you have questions call your child’s campus at (979) 966-6118 for Jr. High and High School or (979) 249-3200 for elementary.

Carmine VFD

Carmine Volunteer Fire Department drill night is July 8.

The annual Feast and Fundraiser will be on July 18 with a drive-thru fried chicken meal. They will also have a drawing.

If you are planning a controlled burn, contact the Fayette County Sheriff’s office at (979) 968-5856 to give them your name, address of burn, and phone number. In Washington County, call (979) 277-7373.

Visitors’ Center

Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

MLLC News

Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.

Sunday School meets Sunday at 9 a.m.

Sunday worship with Holy Communion will be held on the Fourth of July at 10 a.m. The service can also be seen at mllccarmine.com. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.

Recycling Trailer

The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.

The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
