Notes from BLC’s recent Bible study: The title of the Bible lesson for Thursday, May 5 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church was “The journey of generations.” God has always been our help in ages past, even as He is our hope for the coming years. Pastor John David Nedbalek started our lesson with a time sheet from 1900 to 2021. The members marked important events that left unforgettable memories for them. Next was a film clip from the movie Mash that joined three generations of friendships. The last challenge was ideas for intergenerational activities for our church and community. A goal is where young and not-so-young talk and listen to one another. To love as Jesus would have us love is a purpose that crosses all ages and defies everything that threatens to divide us. Julie Wantland served as hostess. Next study will be June 2. New members are always welcome.
