Camp Lone Star in La Grange is hosting their Thanksgiving Family Fun Night on Tuesday Nov. 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Family Fun Nights include dinner, exciting camp activities, a Family Feud game, and a devotional. This is a great way to enjoy quality family time and connect with your kids. They are located at 2016 Camp Lone Star Rd., La Grange. Summer camp registration and January retreats are now open, including their Day Camp program. Visit their website to register at www.camplonestar.org. 

Couples Club Fried Chicken The Couples Club will be selling fried chicken plates on Sunday, Nov. 23. Tickets are $15 each and include fried chicken, buttered potatoes, green beans, and corn. Drivethru only at the Holy Cross picnic grounds from 10:30 a.m. - noon. Tickets are available at the church office or by calling (979) 242-3333 by Nov. 17.

FLHS Pie Sale 

Faith Lutheran High School will be having a Pie Sale on Sunday, Nov. 23. All pies are a generous 9-inch, deep dish size. Pecan pies are $30 each, pumpkin pies are $25 each. Pre-orders only by Nov. 18 by calling (979) 2422889.

 Friendsgiving at Camp Tejas Camp Tejas will host their Annual Friendsgiving on Friday, Nov. 21, beginning at 5 p.m. Area residents are invited to join in a camp tour, social time, and dinner. RSVP by visiting mytejas.org/ friendsgiving.

Holy Cross Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda, (which is around the back side of the church.) No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions. 

Game Day at Holy Cross

The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Friday, Nov. 21 from noon-2 p.m. Note the date change only for the month of November. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Baptism 

Congratulations to Kaitlyn Rose Gussman who was Baptized Sunday, Nov. 2 at Holy Cross in Warda. Kaitlyn is the daughter of Joshua and Apryle Gussman.

Locals in Band Competition 

Congratulations to Hailey Bamsch, Lexi Ahrens, and the La Grange High School Band. They will be competing in San Antonio at the State Band Marching Competition.

Veterans’Reception 

A reception honoring all veterans will be held Sunday, Nov. 9 at Holy Cross in the new narthex immediately following worship. Light breakfast refreshments will be served.

Mission Festival 

Mission Festival will be celebrated at Holy Cross on Sunday, Nov. 23. Rev. David Fleming will be preaching and leading Bible Class.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Thanksgiving Eve Worship will be held Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Faith Lutheran High School The school would like to thank everyone that participated in any way with this years Oktoberfest event and helped make it such a huge success.

Faith Lutheran High School will host the 7th Annual Private Schools of Central Texas Cross Country Meet on Friday, Nov. 7 for students K to 8th grade, with the first race beginning at 1:30 p.m.

FLHS will host their 9th Annual Thanksgiving Chapel and Celebration Feast on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. Rev. Nate Hill will lead worship, followed by a pot luck Thanksgiving lunch.

“Faith on Fire” is the new BBQ Program and team, offered at FLHS this year. Students are learning about different types of meats, seasonings, and cooking methods to help prepare them for upcoming competitions.

Annual Visit Day is fast approaching. This is a great opportunity for future students to see what FLHS is all about and what high school might look like. If you have a 7th or 8th grade student and would like to bring them for a visit, contact the school.
