Burn Ban Lifted Here

Fayette County Commissioners Court voted unanimously last Thursday, Oct. 7, to lift the burn ban that had been in effect since Sept. 23.

Around four inches of rain fell across much of the area on Sept. 29-30. Fayette County Emergency Management Chief Craig Moreau said he consulted with all the fire chiefs in Fayette County. He said none of them recommended continuing the ban.

County Judge Joe Weber said the Commissioners Court may reimpose the ban if conditions remain dry.
