Brooke Kocian Honored with Baby Shower

Brooke Schobel Kocian of Ellinger was honored with a baby shower on Saturday, July 18 at The Round Top Library House in Round Top.

With the theme of “A Little Love Bug is On the Way,” flowery decorations filled the room. The hostesses were Kate Aschenbeck, Kimberly Rohdes, and Ilse Salinas, who gifted many useful items along with gifts for all her guests. Sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, donut holes, pasta salad, pig in the blankets and “bug juice” was served for this brunch event.

Baby Kocian is due in August and Brooke is the wife Koltin Kocian.

Shared Lutheran Ministry Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mass is Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Ellinger Chamber 

From the July 12 bingo, ECC made a donation of $2250 to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Memorial and Benevolent Society. This organization provides financial assistance, disaster relief and general support to families of fallen officers and injured deputies.
