Bridge Work From Overhead

Bridge builders working under general contractor Angel Brothers Construction are about a third of the way through the project to expand the Travis Street bridge across the Colorado River in La Grange, according to a construction report on the Texas Department of Transportation website. The $13.6 million project involves building a new bridge that will eventually serve eastbound traffic on the bridge. But first, it will serve both directions of traffic while workers will refurbish the old truss bridge. Once complete, the old truss bridge will serve westbound traffic, allowing for separated lanes of traffic. Construction began on Nov. 9, 2020.
