Twenty units of blood were donated at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church Blood Drive on Jan. 24. Thanks to all who donated and supported this worthy cause.
Sweetheart Classic Car Show
The 7th annual Sweetheart Classic Car Show will be this Saturday, Feb. 13 on the south side of Highway 290 in Carmine. It opens at 8 a.m. and the display will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Come for a fun day and show off your favorite classic(s) for all to see.

Round Top-Carmine ISD has a student holiday and Professional Development Day on Feb. 15.
Fried Chicken Dinner
The Carmine Hall is sponsoring a fried chicken dinner on Sunday, Feb. 21. It will be drive-thru only. Tickets are $10 per plate, which includes a half chicken, green beans, and buttered noodles. They are available from any hall member and also in the MLLC church office.
Carmine Cemetery Association
The Carmine Cemetery Association will hold their annual meeting on Sunday, Feb. 28 in the MLLC Mission and Ministry Building, following the worship service. It will begin at approximately 11 a.m.

Carmine Volunteer Fire Department drill night is Feb. 11.

Confirmation is Wednesday at 4:15 p.m.
Rebekah Group meets Thursday at 2 p.m.
Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.
Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m. Worship with Holy Communion, observing the Transfiguration of Our Lord, is at 10 a.m. Praise Team plans to lead the hymns. Noisy Offering may be brought for local food pantries. The service will also be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.
Souper Bowl of Caring offerings will be accepted until March 1. The proceeds will be given to the AMEN food pantry in La Grange. If you can’t make it to church, you may send a contribution to the church. The address is PO Box 362, Carmine, TX 78932.
Domino party is Monday at 1 p.m.
Church Council meets Tuesday.
Recycling Trailer
The Recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
Dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, clean #1 and #2 food grade plastics (no other numbers), all colors glass, steel food cans, and aluminum cans are accepted. It is very helpful to have the recycled items separated. Attendants are available to help unload.
They kindly ask that you please wait to drop off items when they are open.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
