Birthdays Celebrated at St. John, Ellinger

Ellinger mourns the long time resident Bernita Hlinsky. Mrs. Hlinsky was a friend to many and a wife to Calvin and mother to Kristi McFadden. She was employed at St. Marks Hospital in La Grange and was a kind and caring person to all she met. Mrs. Hlinsky was laid to rest on Wednesday, Dec. 10 and will be greatly missed. Calvin and Kristi appreciate all those that have expressed condolences during this difficult time.

Shared Lutheran Ministry The third Advent worship will be at St. John in Warrenton on Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Pastor Bade will lead church in Ellinger on Dec. 14 at 8 a.m.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

KJZT St. Mary’s 

KJZT Annunciation Society 41 held a food drive Nov. 22-30 benefitting the AMEN Food Pantry in La Grange. A hefty total of 439 lbs. of nonperishables was donated to AMEN. KJZT members wish to extend their deep appreciation to all who so generously donated to those in need in our community.

Hermann Sons Life 

Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will have a meeting on Monday, Dec. 15 at the Ellinger Fire Station at 6 p.m.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church St. Mary’s Catholic Church mass is every Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.
