Best Little Quilt Show to Become a Quilt Walk Downtown This Year

Beautiful things come together with one stitch at a time and that is exactly what happened this year between the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild and La Grange Main Street.

The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild decided in mid-2020 to cancel the 2021 Best Little Quilt Show due to the coronavirus. “We usually spend the whole year meeting and working on various portions of the show which usually takes place on the last Friday and Saturday in February,” said Sandy Courrier, treasurer of the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild and will be the chairperson for the 2022 Best Little Quilt Show. “We normally have over 600 visitors attend the show each year and since we couldn’t meet and didn’t know how to safely accommodate that many visitors, we decided to cancel the show.”

So instead of having the traditional Best Little Quilt Show this year, there will be a 2021 Quilt Walk on the Square held on February 27 instead.

Quilts will be displayed in the shops/offices around the square.

Visitors will pick up a punch card at the Casino Hall. Merchants, who wish to participate by either giving a discount or having a sale, will be designated on the punch card and asked to punch the card brought into their shop/office by the shopper/visitor. Also, the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild will display some quilts inside the Casino Hall with space permitting. There will also be some guild members inside sewing on some of their very own quilt projects.

La Grange Main Street and the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild will announce more information for the 2021 Quilt Walk on the Square as the date approaches.
