Bernsen Joining Race for Co. Judge

Another candidate says he plans to enter the County Judge race.

William Bernsen of Plum told the Record last Friday that he intends to file as a Republican in the County Judge race. Bernsen is a land surveyor and runs a website which monitors Fayette County government and state affairs. He joins a race with two other Republican candidates, Josh Vandever, who currently serves as Fayette County EMS Director, and Josh Homan, a Flatonia City Council member and veteran U.S. Army helicopter pilot.

Another possible candidate, Craig Moreau, told the Record last week that he’s considering a new run for County Judge. Moreau previously served as Fayette County Emergency Management Coordinator before running for County Judge in the last election, which he lost in a primary runoff. He is currently on probation with a 10-year felony deferred sentence for unlawfully carrying a weapon in a bar.
