ARTS Summer Camps Open in Fayette County
ARTS, based in Fayetteville, is excited to be returning with the Summer Art Camps. ARTS’ Summer Camps allow youth to explore new creative experiences and participate in fun activities throughout the summer. Camps include activities as diverse as music, drama, crafts, gardening, printmaking, painting and more. Here children will learn creative thinking and develop positive relationships with their peers. Along with art skills, they will learn leadership and problem-solving skills, abilities that will contribute to more successes in life.
The programs in Fayetteville and Weimar start in June. July opens camps in Fayetteville, La Grange, Schulenburg, and Weimar. Camps are held Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost per student is $95 a week with some scholarships available. Scholarships are provided through the generous contributions of businesses and patrons throughout the region, along with grants from the Texas Women for the Arts and the Texas Commission on the Arts. Class sizes are limited. To apply for scholarships for any of ARTS’ Summer Art Camps, simply call the ARTS office at (979) 378-2113 or email the ARTS’ program director at Allyson@artsforruraltexas.org.
