Area Priests Changing Assignments

This summer Father Tim Kosler is retiring. He is currently the Pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church in Schulenburg, St. Mary Church in High Hill, St. John the Baptist Church in Ammannsville, and St. Wenceslaus Church in Holman. That is touching off a series of changes in assignments for area priests.

Bishop Brendan Cahill of the Diocese of Victoria made the following announcement regarding local priests over the weekend:

“I have made the following appointments, effective July 1, 2021:

FATHER ROBERT KNIPPENBERG, as Pastor of Sts Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Frelsburg and St. Roch Catholic Church in Mentz.

FATHER FELIX TWUMASI as Administrator of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum.

FATHER SCOTT HILL as Pastor of St. Rose of Lima Church in Schulenburg, St. Mary Church in High Hill, St. John the Baptist Church in Ammannsville, and St. Wenceslaus Church in Holman.

“I want to thank Father Bob, Father Felix, and Father Scott for being open to these new assignments,” Cahill said.
