Annual Round Top Lighted Christmas Parade Slated Dec. 6
The first Saturday in December is the annual Lighted Christmas Parade in Round Top. Come out for the jolliest celebration of the year with Santa Claus, yummy food and drinks, shopping around town, and lots of merriment. Shopping begins at 10 a.m., activities on the square kick off at 3 p.m., and the parade begins at 6:45 p.m. If you would like to participate in the parade, you can enter for free before Nov. 20. RT Lion’s Turkey Trot
Don’t forget to sign up for the Round Top Lion’s Club Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. Choose from a 10K, 5K or one-mile fun run. The first race starts at 8 a.m. Register online at athleteguild.com/ event/round-top-tx/annualround- top-lions-club-turkeytrot to secure your spot.
Round Top-Carmine ISD Early release Friday, Nov. 14. Kids have one more week of school and then it’s Thanksgiving break. Classes are out Nov. 24 - 28.
Festival Hill
Saturday, Dec. 6, the Blinn College Wind Symphony and Choirs will perform “Sounds of the Season” beginning at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased through Blinn College.
The legendary ballet, “The Nutcracker,” returns to Festival Hill Saturday, Dec. 13. This year’s production celebrates the 17th annual performance danced by Ovation Ballet Company. Adult tickets are $40 and student tickets are $20.
Round Top Rifle Hall
Round Top Rifle Hall Monday night hamburger socials are the first, second and third Mondays of each month. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Round Top Family Library
Save the date for the annual Chili Cook-Off supporting the library coming up Jan. 17. Teams can register online at ilovetoread.org. RT Area Historical Society
Support the RTAHS by “buying a brick.” Bricks will be engraved with your name and will expand the walkway at the Round Top Historical Campus. Purchase options include a 12x12, 8x8, or 4x8 brick. Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church meets for worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m. You can also watch the service on their YouTube channel found at https://tinyurl.com/yc77f2vj at 9:30 a.m. BLC will have their Thankoffering service on Nov. 23.
St. Paul Lutheran Church
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Fellowship, Coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. St. Paul will not have a service on Nov. 23. Please attend BLC for their Thankoffering service that day.
St. Martin’s Catholic Church
St. Martin holds monthly Mass the first Tuesday of each month at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar.
St. John’s Lutheran Church St. John’s is part of the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. They meet for Sunday Worship at 8:30 a.m.
RT Christian Fellowship Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service.
St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church Saint Cecilia’s meets Sundays at 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. at the Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.
