Today, we pause to express our deepest gratitude to Ann Rauch for her dedicated volunteer service on the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter Board of Directors. Ann’s leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment have helped shape our mission and make a lasting impact on the lives of countless animals and families in our Fayette County community.

Ann served as board secretary for six years and has been part of guiding important decisions to championing our vision. She has been a true advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves, and our shelter has grown stronger and more resilient.

On behalf of the entire team—and every wagging tail and gentle purr—thank you for six years of volunteer service.

WhatAnn had to say about her service as a board member for our community animal shelter: “Reflecting on my 6 years serving on the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, my first thoughts are it has been an honor.

“It has been an honor to know and work with so many dedicated, passionate, compassionate, and knowledgeable people; the board, the staff, the volunteers.

“It has been an honor to know and work with our amazing dedicated, passionate, compassionate and effective executive director, Teresa Stanley Brown.

“It has been an honor to have witnessed the continuous support and generosity of the community.

“It has been an honor to be part of the building expansion project from conception to completion.

“It has been an honor to be part of the evolution of the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter into one of the safest and best animal shelters in Texas.
