Animal Complaints, Accidents Keep LGPD Busy
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Nov. 7-14.
Alarm
On Nov. 11, Patrolman Brett Meinardus responded to the 1000 block of Hwy. 159 for a burglary alarm. Manager came and reset the alarm. All was secured.
Animal Complaint
On Nov. 10, Patrolman David Mohr responded to the 200 block of Ellinger for a dog bite.
On Nov. 10, Patrolman John Wostarek responded to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe for an animal complaint.
On Nov. 13, Mohr responded to the 100 block of W. Pearl for two dogs roaming. Officer located the owner of dogs.
Accident
On Nov. 8, Mohr responded to a minor hit and run in the parking lot in the 1800 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass.
On Nov. 9, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 2100 block of W. state Hwy. 71 Business for a two-vehicle minor accident.
On Nov. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe in regard to a minor traffic accident.
On Nov. 10, Patrolman Justin Koehne investigated a twovehicle accident in the 100 block of E. Fannin.
On Nov. 10, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 100 block of FM 609 for a three-vehicle accident. Citations were issued.
On Nov. 11, Maxwell was dispatched to the 2400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a two-vehicle accident.
On Nov. 12, Maxwell was dispatched to the intersection of Hwy. 159 and Hwy. 71 for a two-vehicle accident.
On Nov. 13, Mohr responded to the 400 block of E. Travis for a two-vehicle parking lot accident.
On Nov. 13, Mohr received a call of a two-vehicle accident in the 2200 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.
Burglary
On Nov. 7, Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Fairgrounds in regard to a burglary of a building.
Civil Matter
On Nov. 11, Wostarek spoke with a subject in the 900 block of E. Eblin on a civil matter.
On Nov. 11, Meinardus responded to the 500 block of Koenig Ln. where caller stated that he had a two-hour visitation with his child and the child’s mother would not let him see the child. Officer gathered the information.
Citizen Assist
On Nov. 7, Meinardus responded to the 700 block of S. Jackson for a possible sinkhole starting in the roadway. Officer notified city utilities and marked the area with a traffic cone.
On Nov. 7, Wostarek was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place in regard to a citizen assist.
On Nov. 13, Mohr received a call of a broken window in the 400 block of N. Main. It was determined it was faulty glass in a door that broke and not a burglary attempt.
Criminal Mischief
On Nov. 7, Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Monroe in regard to criminal mischief.
On Nov. 7, Maxwell was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Pearl in regard to criminal mischief.
Disturbance
On Nov. 9, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Colorado for a male subject refusing to leave the location. Officer arrived and subject left.
No. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 300 block of Wood Hollow in regard to a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke with several subjects. One subject was arrested and transported to jail.
Found Property
On Nov. 11, Wostarke was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regards to narcotics being found. Officer picked up the found narcotics and placed in the evidence locker.
Forgery
On Nov. 9, Mohr responded to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass in regard to counterfeit money. Office worked the case and arrested suspects.
Harassment
On Nov. 12, Currington was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison for a report of harassment.
Juvenile Complaint
On Nov. 12, Anderson received a call in regard to a juvenile complaint in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business.
Missing Person
On Nov. 9, Mohr received a call of a missing person in the 900 block of S. Jefferson.
Reckless Driving
On Nov. 12, Anderson responded to the 800 block of E. Upperline in regard to a reckless driver.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Nov. 8, Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Colorado in regard to subjects on a roof. Office checked and no one was on the roof.
On Nov. 9, Mohr responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of N. Main.
On Nov. 10, Maxwell was dispatched to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a suspicious person.
Terroristic Threat
On Nov. 9, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 500 block of N. Jackson where a juvenile male threatened verbally and physical by taking his right hand and moving it across his throat.
On Nov. 11, Maxwell was dispatched to the 800 block of E. Travis for a theft.
Welfare Check
On Nov. 8, Emmons responded to the 800 block of S. Vail for a male that made an inappropriate Tik Tok video.
On Nov. 9, Mohr received a call that an employee in the 200 block of W. Colorado had entered a business and had not exited with security code. Prior to arriving the employee came out. Call cleared.
On Nov. 10, Meinardus responded to the 1400 block of W. State Hwy. 71 for a vehicle possibly stuck in a ditch. Officer searched but did not locate any one.
Miscellaneous
On Nov. 8, Mohr received a call of a possibly stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business. Officer recovered the stolen vehicle.
On Nov. 10, Emmons responded to the high school to talk with a juvenile male that was in possession of a marijuana THC pin.
On Nov. 11, Koehne spoke with a subject in the 800 block of N. Monroe in regard to a restraining order and harassment.
On Nov. 14, Currington responded to the 500 block of W. Lafayette for loud music. Officer advised homeowner to turn the music off.
