AMEN Serves 233 Families During April
The AMEN Food Pantry continued to be busy in the month of April. 233 families were served for the month for a total of 653 individuals. A total of 142 volunteers for 322 hours served the pantry. A total of 3,372 pounds of food were donated.
An item that is needed is empty egg cartons. The pantry is fortunate that several producers are providing eggs, however additional cartons are needed. If possible, drop off on Monday mornings or place at the garage door on the side of the building in a bag. As always donations can be dropped off on Monday mornings from 9 a.m. until noon or Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 571, La Grange, Texas 78945 or dropped off at the pantry.
Every Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon AMEN has staff on location to receive donations. Drive to the side of the building at the garage door area. There will not be any food distribution on Thursday. If possible bring your produce during this time and early Monday mornings, an ideal time is 8:30 a.m.
The mobile pantry at Waldeck served 80 clients for a total of 192 individuals. A total of 14 volunteers with 9,840 pounds of food was distributed.
AMEN continues to appreciate all in the community for their assistance at the food pantry, without your support the pantry would not be able to support the needs of the community.
