AMEN Serves 197 Families In August

A total of 197 families were served for the month of August with a total of 482 individuals served by the AMEN Food Pantry. A total of 151 volunteers served for 370 hours to the pantry. A total of 1,212 pounds of food were donated.

The response to the need of egg cartons has been exceptional, however for the moment the pantry needs to pause receiving egg cartons due to having received a large quantity.

Donations can be dropped off on Monday mornings from 9 till noon or Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until noon.

Monetary donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 571 La Grange, Texas 78945 or dropped off at the Pantry.

AMEN will have staff on location every Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon to receive donations. Drive to the side of the building to the garage door area. There will not be any food distribution on Thursday. If possible, bring your produce during this time and on Monday mornings, around 830 a.m.

The mobile pantry at Waldeck served 117 households for a total of 282 individuals. A total of 24 volunteers with 9,906 pounds distributed. Any food not distributed is sent to AMEN.

The pantry has received a large amount of frozen food, bread products and pastries to distribute to pantry clients.
