Out and About

Nancie and Billy Blaire enjoyed a family get together for Nancie’s mom, Elaine Lang’s 90th birthday at Lutherhill. Nancie’s brother Art and sister in law came in from Indiana and his son Iaian drove in from Washington State. Brother Jerry, his wife Karla and their daughter Anna, her husband Sawyer and their children came in from Palestine; his son Jeremy, wife Crystal and their two children came in from Fort Worth for the celebration. Also joining in were Nancie’s girls Heather, her daughter Valarie and the newest baby; Teresa slipped in from Pasadena. In all there were twenty five gathered for this big birthday. Part of the fun was a generational picture of Elaine and her linage of children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Nancy and Martin Cherry were visited by Mary and Steve Musick, Nancy’s sister and her husband this past week. They were in search of a taste of the country. They enjoyed a day of hunting, putting flowers on the family graves and just sitting on the porch visiting to catch up. They made a wonderful day of it with local barbeque and desserts. It was a long overdue visit.

Pam Sheffield went to Houston recently to celebrate her birthday with family. She had a wonderful lunch with her daughters and her sister. Then they did a little fun shopping together. Later, the whole family got together for a birthday dinner which her girls prepared. Followed by cake and lots of fun and games, eating and laughter was to be had by all. Pam also was able to spend a couple of days with her high school friends Susi and Holly, who were in town. They met up with another high school friend Ellen, who happened to be in town too visiting grandchildren. They had a blast catching up and laughing together.

New Granddaughter

Jerry and Jennifer Furnow are busting with joy over the arrival of their first granddaughter, HeavenLee Hope Furnow. Jerry and Jennifer’s eldest son Michael and his wife Virginia welcomed their first daughter to this world in Huntington, West Virginia at Cabell Huntington Hospital on April 24 weighing in at six pounds four ounces and measured twenty and one half inches long.

Rain

Muldoon welcomed eight tenths of rain on Friday, April 23. More rain is forecast at the time of this writing and will be much welcomed. Things are getting dry, the grass needs the moisture and tanks could use some rain to fill them.

Reminder

The Little Lending Library in front of the fire station is still available to meet all your reading needs. Borrow a book or leave a book. The selection is always changing. This is a wonderful resource for the community and is available to all.
