149th Annual Schutzenfest this Sunday

The 149th Annual Schutzenfest will be held Sunday, Sept. 19 at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Come see the 2021 Schutzenkonig receive his Crown of Cedar and Gold Medal. Hall doors open to the public at 2 p.m. There will be a concert by the Round Top Brass Band from 3-4:30 p.m., followed by the crowning of the new king at 5:00. Enjoy fellowship and a free dance from 5:30-8 p.m. A pork steak and sausage meal by Gary Goebel Catering will be available beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Round Top Rifle Hall’s Monday Night Social takes place on the first through fourth Mondays of the month from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Round Top Rifle Hall. Dig Pink Shirts

Round Top Family Library

Round Top Family Library would like to extend a great big Thank You to all the supporters who helped make the annual Wrangler’s Gala a memorable and successful evening. Most of all, a sincere thanks to the wonderful group of volunteers who worked tirelessly to ensure a safe, fun evening. Author! Author! Series

Round Top Library presents its Author! Author! Series. Author Charles Hebert will discuss his book The Kreisches of Fayette County: The Remarkable Story of a Remarkable Family on Sept. 16 at 12 p.m. The talk will take place at Winedale, located at 3760 FM 1714. Second Saturdays at Winedale

Second Saturdays at Winedale are back. The second Saturday of each month the Lewis-Wagner House will be open for free tours noon-3 p.m. Winedale is searching for volunteers to give house tours. There is no obligation as to how many hours or days you work. You just need to have a love of history and the desire to work with the public. Round Top Area Historical Society

The Round Top Area Historical Society museum would like to invite you to learn the rich colorful history of Round Top, Texas. The museum is located at 397 E. Mill St. in Round Top, behind the Round Top Post Office. Bethlehem Lutheran Church

Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Adult bible study classes are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Educational Building. Confirmation meets Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 4:15 p.m. BLC’s annual Chicken Fry fundraiser will be Oct. 10 at the Rifle Hall. They are currently seeking donations for the raffle. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds Worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School at 9:30 a.m.. Quilting meets at 8:30 a.m., Game Day is at 2 p.m., and choir practice is at 7 p.m.
