14-Year-Old Appointed to Historical Commission

14-Year-Old Appointed to Historical Commission

The Fayette County Commissioners Court appointed 14-year-old William Travis Bernsen to the Fayette County Historical Commission. Historical Commission Chairwoman Bobbie Nash said Bernsen will assist the Commission with building a database of historical markers in Fayette County. She said the work involves documenting the GPS coordinates of each marker. Nash said that William Travis, a bright homeschooler and apprentice to his father, local land surveyor William Bernsen of Plum, is especially suited for the job.
