The Sealy News On Monday, Dec. 14 the special city council meeting saw the resignation of Sealy City Manager Lloyd Merrell.

Municipal elections are scheduled to take place Saturday, May. 1.

To the editor: Mr. Pennington doesn’t seem to grasp a basic understanding of the situation playing out today in our nation’s courts.

To the Editor: On December 11, Fayette County’s coronavirus cases rose to 40 confirmed and 79 probable for a total of 119 and that count along with the 1000 cases and 15 deaths in Fayette County and almost 300,000 U.S. deaths to date would be substantially greater but for those of us who have abided by Governor Abbott’s order.

To the Editor: The I am proud of Kerina Kelly for her courage in submitting her essay titled Abortion is Murder for publication in the Record. Although it is very difficult to read, and my heart was breaking as I read it, Kerina has done a valuable service to folks who do not really understand what happens to the fetus during an abortion.

To the Editor: Here we go again. CNN and MSNBC, ABC, CBS are not reporting news that is historical and should be covered by any worthy new organization.

To the Editor: A reader recently opined that he praised the Chinese Communist Party and condemned the President of the United States for their respective actions regarding the Wuhan virus. I am inclined to reach different conclusions.

To the Editor: I just want to say a big thank you to Miss Kelly who wrote in a letter to the editor about abortion in the December 4 issue of the Fayette County Record. Yes, abortion is killing.

To the Editor: The Schulenburg Weimar Area Parents as Teachers (PAT) want to remind families of what children really want. During this Christmas season, our hope is that you will: • Spend more time playing with your children than you spend shopping for them.

To the Editor: I am writing in response to Sandy Armstrong’s letter of December 11 which was written in response to my previous letter. Her review of the legislative process may be helpful for some readers, but is not necessary for me (I taught government for forty years and studied with some of the foremost Constitutional scholars in the U.S.) and is not relevant to the current issue.
