China Not to Be Praised

To the Editor:

A reader recently opined that he praised the Chinese Communist Party and condemned the President of the United States for their respective actions regarding the Wuhan virus.

I am inclined to reach different conclusions. Knowing how deadly the virus was, the Chinese Communist Party prevented people from entering other parts of China from Wuhan, but allowed them to travel to Europe and the United States, thereby intentionally spreading the virus to the rest of the world.

Our President quickly banned travel from China to the U.S. and created Operation Warp Speed which has given us safe and effective vaccines in ten months instead of the usual five years.
