How to Watch State Swim Meet

The LHS Girls 200 Freestyle relay will swim in the state prelims on Thursday Feb. 13 and in the finals on Friday Feb 14th. The meet begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday and 11 a.m. on Saturday. The meet is being held at the Josh Davis Natatorium in San Antonio. The address is 12002 Jones Maltsberger Rd. SanAntonio, TX. Parking is free. Tickets need to be purchased online at the uil website. There is a clear bag policy at the facility.

Diggs is Athlete Of the Week For Baylor Track

La Grange’s Austen Diggs was recently named the Baylor Men’s Performer of the Week in track and field at the Charlie Thomas Invitational indoor meet at Texas A&M Feb. 7-8. Diggs ran his personal best times in the 60 meters and the 200 meters.

Twins Tess and Jill Eilers are the only seniors on a Round Top-Carmine basketball team that is having a great season. Monday, Tess scored 29 and Jill scored 19 as the Cubettes beat Runge 64-25 in a first round playoff game to improve to 15-2 this season.

The Schulenburg girls basketball team won a defensive struggle to beat Thorndale 38-33 Tuesday in the first round of the 2Aplayoffs in Giddings. Arianna Vincent scored a team-high nine points and Jenna Guentert added seven.
