On Saturday, Feb. 22, the La Grange High School Leopardette Drill Team danced their way through the American Dance and Drill Team Houston Regionals Dance Competition at Dekaney High School.

They brought home a Sweepstakes trophy for receiving Division I ratings from all judges on all three dances they performed.

The Leopardettes also received the Academic Champions Award for having the highest cumulative GPA of all the teams competing on Saturday.

To top it all off, the ladies received the Best in Class Runner-Up Award for the Extra Small Schools classification. This team has attended seven dance competitions over the past seven years, and they’ve won Sweepstakes every single year. Their consistency and dedication over the years really show just how much heart and effort they put into their craft.

“I am incredibly proud of these girls and the amazing work they do,” said Director of the Leopardette Drill Team, Becky Little. “They show up to school and start practice at 6 a.m. every day, demonstrating their unwavering dedication and commitment to the team.”
