The La Grange High School Swim team competed in a dual meet with Brenham on Jan 11, 2024. Highlights of the meet included Eleanor Carey setting a new 50 Freestyle Record of 28.02. Braxton Landis took 6.89 seconds off his personal best time in the 200 Freestyle, swimming a 2:49.18. Madeline Willrich placed first in the 200 Freestyle. Hope Michalke placed 1st in the 100 Fly. John Kasper and Laney Herdler placed first in the 500 Free. Chandler Fabre placed first in the 100 back.

Fayetteville basketball players Keagan Supak and Jake Kubala are seniors who have without question made their mark on this year’s team. So much so that the Lions earned a state ranking and have multiple wins while scoring 100+ points.

The La Grange boys varsity basketball team won their 10th game in a row Wednesday. They are also undefeated in international play.

The gyms in Schulenburg and Fayetteville played host to intense district basketball doubleheaders Friday as intra-county rivals faced off against one another. Over in Fayetteville the Round Top-Carmine girls improved to 5-1 in district with a 47-37 victory over the Lady Lions.

It’s quality over quantity as far as the La Grange girls basketball team in concerned. Beset by injuries, the Lady Leps suited out only seven varsity players for Friday’s district game against Manor New Tech.

“ They were definitely one of my top schools, The coach was great. I’ve gotten to go up there for camps and gotten to practice with the girls, and felt welcomed.

The La Grange boys basketball team just keeps playing better and better. The Leps won their ninth consecutive game and increased their district lead with a 66-58 win over visiting Manor New Tech Friday.
