AMEN Food Pantry Assists 835 in March

The AMEN Food Pantry appreciates all in the community that provided food assistance for the month of March. This would include all that provided monetary donations, food drives and the AMEN Gardens. The gardeners have been providing beets, kale, carrots and many other leafy vegetables.

Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cuttings for Edward Jones, Saint Cecilia’s Church

The La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a pair of ribbon cuttings recently. Pictured below, financial advisor Chuck Mazac cut the ribbon at the new location of his Edward Jones office, located at 851 E. Travis St. in La Grange. Pictured at right, the Chamber welcomed new member St. Cecilia Episcopal Church in Round Top with a ribbon cutting at the Church’s Spring Concert. St. Cecilia’s Church is located at 130 Henkel Square in Round Top.

Cars on Display on the Courthouse Square This Saturday Morning The Lincoln & Continental Owner’s Club (LCOC) will be coming to La Grange, TX for the 5th time to celebrate our 36th Annual all Texas Tri Regional Spring meet on May 1-3. A Little History The national Lincoln & Continental Owner’s Club (LCOC) was formed in 1953 by former Ford Motor Company employees and enthusiasts in Michigan, to recognize and preserve the historically classic 1940-1948 Continentals.

Local Chef on FOX Cooking Series

The 16th season of MasterChef premiered on FOX television on April 15, and one of the show’s competitors this season is Camilo Chavez of Bastrop. The series debuted in 2010 and is now in its 16th season.

Annual KC Shrimp Boil Planned at St. John’s

On Friday, May 15, the Fayetteville/Ellinger Knights of Columbus Council 3168 will hold their 26th Annual Fayetteville/Ellinger KC Shrimp Boil under the pavilion at St. John’s Catholic Church. Happy Hour runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Food will be served at 7:30 p.m.
