Texas Exes Morning of Service

The Fayette County Texas Exes completed a morning of service at Winedale, the UT Briscoe Center historical and teaching facility in Winedale. The chief beneficiary was a large, white picket fence that surrounds the Wagner Dining Hall and Dormitory. It got a much-needed white paint job. What a difference a coat of paint makes. Participants were not sure if there was more new paint on the fence or themselves when all was said and done. At any rate, those participating and the staff of Winedale enjoyed themselves in the process. The Fayette County Texas Exes Chapter is getting ready to go into a new year. They encourage more volunteers to join. The organization emphasizes raising money for scholarships and increasing membership. They particularly need some volunteers who could help compose a chapter mailing list that will be maintain at the chapter level. Communication is the key to our success in accomplishing goals, and a mailing list is critical to communication. If you are ready and able to volunteer, please contact Ed Ellis at e.ellisjr@gmail.com or (713) 542-2857.
