Fayetteville Holding Day of Prayer
Jane Frugé has arranged for all to join together for the National Day of Prayer at the gazebo on the square on Thursday, May 5 from 10 to 11 a.m. Please bring a chair.
St. John’s Fundraiser
St. John’s Altar Society is holding their annual fundraiser on Saturday, May 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Recreation Hall. There will be baked goods for your Mother’s Day guests, a country store, hot dogs and sandwiches. A handmade quilt is the first of 29 raffle prizes. Raffle tickets can be purchased from members of the Society and at Fayetteville Bank.
Food Truck
The Central Texas Food Truck will be at St. John’s parking lot this Friday, May 7 from 10-11 a.m. It’s drive-thru distribution and will follow all CDC guidelines.
Election
You may vote this Saturday, May 7 in the General Election. There are three candidates for City Council running against incumbents. Betsy Hankins is running against incumbent Neal Doty in Place I. Kathy Griffith is running against incumbent Bradley Girndt in Place III and Karen Bookout and Brian Brown are running against incumbent Yvonne McCowen in Place V. April 3: First responder call assist Medic 2 at Park Prairie boat ramp – boat capsized.
April 23: First responder call assist Medic 1 at W. Fayette St. and the railroad tracks – truck/ train accident.
April 28: First responder call assist Medic 2 at Park Prairie boat ramp – male subject had difficulty breathing.
April 29: Grass fire on Skalitsky Rd. near Faldyn Ln. – spreading control burn
Chief Noviske has advised that the burn ban has lifted, but please pay attention to windy conditions when burning. Whenever you’re having a control burn, its best to call the Sheriff’s office at (979) 968- 5856. Provide the location and your cell phone number where they can contact you.
