Charlene Raday, Medical Staff Coordinator at St. Mark’s Medical Center (SMMC), was honored at two receptions to celebrate her 21 years of service, one at her final Medical Staff meeting and one with all SMMC employees.

Ms. Raday coordinated critical work for SMMC, ensuring that hospital physicians’ and other affiliated providers’ professional qualifications were verified prior to treating patients; coordinated communication, preparation and documentation of medical staff-related meetings, as well as maintained all of the hospital’s policies and procedures.

”Charlene’s work ethic and dedication are what we strive to demonstrate and inspire in others,” said Mark Kimball, President and CEO of SMMC. “While many of her efforts were behind the scenes, Charlene’s commitment to excellence rippled across the organization,” he continued.

“We will definitely miss Charlene’s presence,” said Dr. Thomas Borgstedte. “We could always depend on her to deliver what was needed to stay current and organized with official hospital business, and she always did it with a smile,” he added.

“We wish her the best in her retirement; she has certainly earned it.”

In addition to Raday’s responsibilities at SMMC, she also volunteered as secretary of the hospital’s HEART Committee, as well as helped with employee events.

When asked to reflect on her career, Raday shared, “I really enjoyed the work I did, and love the people who I worked with,” she said. “They are a very special family and I have a great number of happy memories.”

Ms. Raday’s retirement plans include travel, more volunteer work at her church, and time for her craft hobbies of scrapbooking and crocheting.
