The meeting of the KJZT St Anne’s Society No. 10 was called to order at 1 p.m. on Feb. 21 at St. John’s Recreation Hall. President Mary Jane Toddy opened the meeting with prayers for all living members and their families and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were eight members present.

On March 8, Officer Kevin Currington worked a one-vehicle accident in the 400 block of W.

This Memorial Day, May 29, 2023, will be a very special day for the Schulenburg High School Band because the band will be performing in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. on that date.

The 25th annual Best Little Quilt Show in Texas closed on Feb. 25. Everyone who attended and helped make the show a huge success is appreciated. These are a few pictures of some of the local quilt winners.

DOPTABLE Avery and Treasure are the 2 bully breeds who have been in our care the longest. Both dogs can be selective of their friends but have had many good friends here who have come and gone.

Crockett Guenther, a Schulenburg 4-H member, recently competed in the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Commercial Steer Program. He was awarded Rookie of the Year for his Speech and both his steers graded choice.
