Police Report
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Feb. 26 through March 4.
Animal Complaint
On Feb. 27, Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 200 block of Northpointe for an animal complaint.
On Feb. 28, Anderson responded to an animal complaint in the 300 block of N.
Madison.
On March 1, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager put 8 chickens back in the yard in the 700 block of E. Milam.
Accident
On Feb. 27, Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 100 block of N. Main for an accident.
Fe. 27, Officer Robin Emmons was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Vail for an accident on private property.
On March 1, Officer John Wostarek spoke with a caller about an accident that occurred in the 400 block of E. Travis.
On March 1, Officer Jeffrey Archerd was dispatched to the 100 block of S. Jefferson for a one-vehicle accident. A citation was issued.
On March 3, Anderson responded to the intersection of Hwy. 159 and Hwy. 71 for a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
On March 4, Meinardus responded to the 1600 block of W. Hwy. 71 business for a one-vehicle accident.
Citizen Assist
On Feb. 26, Archerd was dispatched to the 800 block of S. Jefferson for a citizen assist.
Civil Matter
On Feb. 26, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lowerline for a civil matter. Disturbance
On Feb. 26, Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane in regards to disturbance, officer arrived on location and spoke with both subjects and they were separated for the night.
On Feb. 26, Officer Steven Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane in regards to a disturbance.
On March 4, Keeney responded to the 700 block of S. Madison in response to a nonviolent family disturbance.
On March 4, Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 200 block of Edgewood for a disturbance involving family members.
Family Violence
On Feb. 26, Archerd was dispatched to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass to family violence.
On March 1, Archerd was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Washington for domestic disturbance between family members.
Found Property
On March 4, Meinardus took a phone from an individual they found in the 500 block of E. Lafayette.
Fraud
On Feb. 27, Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Colorado for possible fraud.
Public Intoxication
On Feb. 28, Keeney saw a suspicious person in the 400 block of N. Main and discovered the person was intoxicated.
Lost Item
On Feb. 26, Officer Justin Koehne spoke with complainant in the 1800 block of W. State Hwy 71 business about a missing license.
Robbery
On March 3, Emmons responded to the 100 block of N. Jackson for a juvenile suspect robbed another juvenile by force.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
On Feb. 26, Archerd was dispatched to the 400 block of N. Jefferson for a suspicious person.
On Feb. 27, Anderson received a repeat call regarding a suspicious person in the 500 block of W. Lowerline.
On Feb. 28, Anderson checked the area around the 500 block of W. Lowerline for a person outside the location.
On Feb. 28, Keeney responded to the 500 block of W. Lowerline for a suspicious vehicle.
On March 1, Haynie was dispatched to the 500 block of S. Jackson in regard to a suspicious person.
On March 3, Archerd checked out a suspicious vehicle in the 1700 block of E. State Hwy. 71 bypass.
On March 4, Keeney responded to the intersection of E. Pearl and N. Horton in response to a suspicious vehicle.
On March 4, Anderson responded to the 400 block of 3rd alley for unknown subject throwing rocks at complainant’s residence.
Theft
On Feb. 28, Meinardus responded to the 1800 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for theft of fuel.
On Feb. 28, Wostarek received information on a theft in the 2100 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business.
On March 2, Archerd was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Franklin where subject reported furniture taken from yard and it was not free for anyone to take. Complainant had placed the furniture by the curb but not for anyone to take.
Trespass
On Feb. 27, Keeney responded to the 900 block of S. Jefferson in response to a trespassing complaint.
Traffic Stop
On Feb. 27, Haynie initiated a traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Travis and arrested subject for possession of a controlled substance.
Welfare Check
On Feb. 26, Haynie was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Monroe in regards to a welfare check.
On March 2. Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of Cindy Lane in regards to welfare check.
On March 4, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of N. Monroe for a welfare check.
On March 4, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of N. Franklin for a welfare concern.
