KJZT St. Anne’s Society Meets

The meeting of the KJZT St Anne’s Society No. 10 was called to order at 1 p.m. on Feb. 21 at St. John’s Recreation Hall. President Mary Jane Toddy opened the meeting with prayers for all living members and their families and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were eight members present.

Rose Rohde read the minutes from the previous meeting. Helen Wied reported on cards received and sent out and Lois Kaspar gave the Treasurer’s report.

In old business, Helen read a thank you note received from Sacred Heart Catholic School in La Grange for the donation sent during Catholic School Week.

In new business, the group voted to purchase raffle tickets from Jr KJZT members, pay for Deacon Robert’s social membership and donate to TLC for purchase of bingo prizes for the residents. It was announced that KJZT Family Day will be held June 11 at Splashway Water Park in Sheridan. Contact the main office for more information.

Upcoming events include March 11-Rosary on the Fayetteville square at noon in support of traditional marriage, March 21-KJZT sponsored Bingo at TLC 3-5 p.m., and Tuesday, May 16-St. Anne’s Society No. 10 quarterly meeting. Attendance prize winner was Margie Vasek.

After the closing prayer, the meeting was adjourned. Lunch and fellowship followed the meeting.
