Taking place at the Knights of Columbus Community Center in La Grange on Sunday, June 4, was the Annual Family Dinner and 57th Anniversary of Court Annunciation No. 1962 of La Grange, Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA). Social hour began at 3:30 p.m. followed by the Welcome given by Mistress of Ceremonies, Regent Shirley Antosh.

The week of June 12-16, Fayette County Community Theater hosted its annual workshop camp at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center for students in middle and high school. Each day of camp, participants learned about lighting and sound, makeup and costumes, and fundamental acting skills.

Dr. Kelly Damphousse, President of Texas State University and Dr. Mary Cavitt, Dean of University College are pleased to announce that Lauren Marie Mazoch was one of the 4,500 plus 2023 spring graduates from Texas State University. Lauren graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies with minors in Music, Theater and Art and graduated Magna Cum Laude which requires a final grade point of 3.6 out of a 4 point system. During Lauren’s last two years she earned a perfect 4.0. Lauren is a 2018 graduate of La Grange High School and is the daughter of Laura and Michael Mazoch of Schulenburg.

It’s a busy summer for Turtle Wing Foundation, with many opportunities to learn, grow and play for our Turtle Wing families, as well as educational professionals and daycare staff in the local area.

This scholarship program is available to students of Wendish descent and encourages students to learn more about their Wendish heritage. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or trade school for Fall 2023 semester.
